The Halftime Chair, developed in collaboration with international architecture firm COBE, is a seat that does it all. Designed to possess the same robust and flexible properties as the building it was made for, it balances lightness and elegance with strength.

With a moulded veneer seat and a steel-tube frame, Halftime is a resilient, stackable chair durable enough to last generations, and versatile enough to be used in a wide range of private and public environments, from the dining room or office to a sidewalk café.
HAY’s designs give the impression that it’s OK to feel comfortable while using their products. Since we mostly design public buildings, cultural facilities, and institutional structure, we’re always looking for ways to informalize formal spaces. I think that’s where HAY’s design principles and furniture shine.
