Lina Cofán

Lina Cofán is a Spanish ceramic artist who is based in Madrid. Originally she received training in experimental and conceptual theatre in Berlin, going on to study both ceramics at the School of Ceramics of the Moncloa, and graphic design and photography at Three Agora, in Madrid. Her creations are sculptural, organic and often made to seem hyperreal. She enjoys experimenting with reactive glazes and matt textures to create resonances of nature in her designs. Her work has been featured in major exhibitions in Spain and Taiwan. For HAY, Cofán designed the Cacti Series of ceramics.
