Staffan Holm

Staffan Holm is a Swedish designer who set up his own studio in Gothenburg, in 2008. Originally trained as a fine cabinet maker, Holm worked as a carpenter for four years before completing his training at the School of Design and Crafts (HDK) in Gothenburg, graduating in design in 2008. Holm’s furniture has won a number of prestigious Scandinavian design awards. His work is grounded in traditional craftsmanship, but his curious nature has led to the studio having an exploratory character, one that seeks new emotional functions in quite commonplace objects. For HAY, Holm has designed the Gym Hook.
