Tree Trunk is a collection of iconic decorative vases made in a stoneware ceramic. Glazed on the inside and hand-painted on the outside, the large three-armed or small two-armed versions feature the artist’s signature wood grain pattern on the tree trunk-shaped vase.
Richard Woods is an English artist, whose work spans the fields of art, design and architecture. He is a graduate of The Slade School of Fine Art, where he trained as a sculptor. His works are held in significant collections, including the Saatchi Collection, Arts Council England, and the British Museum. His work is characterised by an exaggerated use of pattern, bold colour and the re-surfacing of existing structures. He has worked on products, interiors, buildings and exhibitions for preeminent brands and institutions all over the world.
